Most app ideas, yes, at least a first version. As of October 2026, Vibecode builds native iPhone apps, Apple Watch apps, iPhone and Android apps, and web apps, with logins, a database, payments, AI features and App Store publishing.
What you can't vibe code is the part that isn't software: thousands of drivers, licensed songs, a banking license. Type your idea above to see which parts of yours are easy, which need setup, and what to build first.
Our checker's verdicts on building your own version of each app with Vibecode, run on October 21, 2026. Open one for what's easy, what's hard, what it costs and a prompt to start.

App names and icons belong to their owners and are shown only to say which app each verdict is about. Vibecode isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
It splits your idea into its key parts and sorts each one. The verdict follows from the mix, and the vibe score rises with every part that works out of the box.
Works out of the box
Describe it and Vibecode builds it, then taps through the app to test it.
Screens, saved data, maps, the camera, AI chat and image features, 2D games.
Needs setup
It works with a paid plan, an outside account or a few steps of your own.
Logins, a shared database, payments, App Store publishing, an Apple Watch app.
Takes more work
Possible, with more rounds of building and testing.
Live multiplayer, live driver tracking, paying sellers out.
Not possible
Phones don't allow it, Vibecode doesn't build it, or software alone can't do it.
Reading your iMessages, a Mac or TV app, a licensed music catalog.
What each common part of an app takes in Vibecode, as of October 2026.
| Part of your app | In Vibecode | What it takes |
|---|---|---|
| Screens, lists, forms and animations | Works out of the box | Describe them in plain English. The agent builds each one and tests it in the simulator. |
| Saving data on the phone | Works out of the box | Notes, logs and settings stay on the device, with no account needed. |
| Camera, photos, location and maps | Works out of the box | Apple Maps is built in. Test camera features on a real phone, which for a native iPhone app needs Apple's Developer Program ($99 a year). |
| AI chat, image and voice features | Works out of the box | GPT, Claude and Gemini models, image generation and speech, paid from your credits. No API keys of your own. The free first build shows sample answers. |
| User accounts and login | Needs setup | Vibecode Cloud on Plus ($20 a month) and up. Email codes by default; Google and Apple sign-in take a few more steps. Guide |
| Feeds, chat and marketplaces | Needs setup | A shared cloud database through Vibecode Cloud, so every user sees the same posts and messages. |
| Payments on a website or in an app | Needs setup | Stripe, with your own Stripe account: you add its keys, then ask the agent for a checkout. In an iPhone app, Stripe covers physical goods and services, like food or bookings. Guide |
| Subscriptions in a phone app | Needs setup | Apple's in-app purchases through RevenueCat, connected from the Payment tab in a React Native app on Pro ($50 a month). Guide |
| Publishing to the App Store | Needs setup | For a native iPhone app, Vibecode builds, signs and submits it. You need Apple's Developer Program ($99 a year) and Vibecode Plus. Guide |
| Publishing to Google Play | Needs setup | Build it as a React Native app, download the code on Pro and publish it with your own Google Play Console account. Guide |
| Apple Watch apps and custom keyboards | Needs setup | The agent adds an Apple Watch app or a keyboard to your native iPhone app. You try them on your own devices through TestFlight, with Apple's Developer Program ($99 a year). |
| Bank account connections | Needs setup | Through Plaid, with your own Plaid account. The agent connects it and builds the screens. |
| Live multiplayer, video calls, live tracking | Takes more work | Possible with an outside service. Getting it smooth takes more rounds of testing. |
| Medical records and school systems | Takes more work | Possible once the system's owner approves your app to connect. |
| Sending money, debit cards and trading | Takes more work | Possible through a licensed banking, card or brokerage partner once it approves your app. Vibecode builds the app around the partner's API. |
| Mac and TV apps | Not possible | Vibecode builds iPhone, iPad, Android and web apps. |
| Reading other apps' messages | Not possible | iPhone doesn't let any app read iMessage, WhatsApp or Instagram DMs. |

Each one went through the same checker you can use at the top of this page on October 21, 2026, asked about building your own version of the app, and we kept its answer as it came, fixing only punctuation and how brand names are written. A second AI pass with web search, shown that verdict, wrote what keeps people on each app and what your version won't have. Prices are from each app's own website, checked by hand the same day. Verdicts can change as Vibecode and AI models improve.
It compares your idea with what Vibecode can build as of October 2026: native iPhone apps, Apple Watch apps, iPhone and Android apps, and web apps, with logins, a database, payments, AI features and publishing. An AI model sorts each part of your idea into works out of the box, needs setup, takes more work or not possible. Then it suggests a first version and writes your first prompt.
Treat it as a first opinion, not a promise. It knows what Vibecode does today, but it can't see your designs or your data, or predict App Review. Scores can move a few points between runs. The surest test is a first build, which is free for new accounts that sign up with Google or Apple on the web or the iPhone app.
Yes, you can build the screens, maps, feeds, profiles, booking flows and payments. Live driver tracking and paying hosts or drivers out take more work, and the drivers, hosts and audience are yours to find. Start small, with a version for one city, one school or one group of friends.
Yes, most of it. A CRM like Salesforce or HubSpot is mostly logins, a shared database and screens for leads, deals and accounts, and Vibecode builds all of those. The same goes for project boards, help desks, invoicing and hiring pipelines. Sending email, calls and texts, bank feeds and lead data connect through outside services with your own account. Real payroll and paying people in other countries take more work, since they run through a licensed partner. A tool built for your own team is the easiest start.
Yes, most of what a small business runs on: online booking, a menu or catalog with ordering, staff schedules, quotes and invoices, a loyalty card and a website. Logins and a shared database come with Vibecode Cloud on Plus, and card payments go through your own Stripe account. The list above has the apps small businesses use today, from Square and Toast to Vagaro, Homebase and HoneyBook, with what your own version would take. A tool for your own shop is the easiest start.
Very little. Vibecode doesn't build Mac or TV apps, or browser extensions, though a web app runs on any computer. No iPhone app can read your iMessages or WhatsApp chats. And no app builder can give you what software alone can't, like a license to move money or the rights to stream famous songs.
No. You describe the app in plain English, and the agent writes the code, runs the app and fixes errors. It helps to describe changes clearly and to test every screen. On the Pro plan you can download the code to learn from it or hand it to a developer.
Your first build is free for new accounts that sign up with Google or Apple on the web or the iPhone app, as the account's first project: one build of about 10 minutes with up to three features, with sample data standing in for AI, logins and payments. To keep building, you need credits, from a paid plan or auto-reload. Logins, a database and App Store submission need Plus ($20 a month with $20 of credits) or higher. Apple charges $99 a year to install a native iPhone app on your phone or publish it.
We send it to OpenAI to write your verdict. We don't save what you type. Our logs keep only the verdict, the kind of app, a short title for your idea, its length and how long the check took. Don't type passwords or other private details.
