FAQ
What does the $20 a month cover?
What does the $20 a month cover?
Hosting for your web app and backend, a SQLite database, 20 GB of file storage with a CDN, user sign-in with Better Auth, and sign-in and welcome emails. On Plus, the $20 also includes $20 of AI credits. A backend beyond your plan’s allowance is $20 a month on its own, with no credits.
Do I pay more as my app gets more users?
Do I pay more as my app gets more users?
No. Vibecode Cloud has no per-user, per-request or bandwidth fees. The popular stack charges by usage: Clerk charges $0.02 for each monthly user past 50,000, and Vercel and Supabase bill for usage beyond each plan’s included amounts.
Are AI features included?
Are AI features included?
No. AI calls your app makes, like chat, image generation, voice and the other integrations, are billed to your Vibecode credits. You don’t need your own API keys. The comparison above leaves AI out.
Why not use the popular stack's free tiers?
Why not use the popular stack's free tiers?
- Vercel Hobby is for personal, non-commercial use only.
- Supabase Free caps the database at 500 MB and file storage at 1 GB.
- Clerk Free shows a “Secured by Clerk” badge on your sign-in screen. Clerk Pro removes it.
- Resend Free is fine for sign-in emails: it has the same 100-a-day cap as Vibecode email, so it counts as $0 above.
Why SQLite instead of Postgres?
Why SQLite instead of Postgres?
The database is a file on your backend’s server, so there’s nothing to provision, connect or pay for separately. Your app reads it through Prisma. If you’d rather use Postgres, connect Supabase or another database instead.
Can I use Supabase, Firebase or Clerk instead?
Can I use Supabase, Firebase or Clerk instead?
Yes. Ask the agent to connect them and add your keys in the ENV tab. You then pay those services directly, as in the table above.
Can I move my backend off Vibecode later?
Can I move my backend off Vibecode later?
Yes. On Pro and up you can download your code. The backend is a standard Hono server with Prisma and Better Auth, so it runs anywhere Bun runs. File storage and sign-in emails use the Vibecode SDK, so swap those for another provider when you move.
